The 2nd Annual ARC Graphene Hub Workshop was held on12-13th March, at Monash University, Clayton campus. NSEL of Monash University, which is a part of ARC graphene Hub organized the event. The workshop was well attended with over 50 guests from the Hub as well as related research groups and industry partners. Group leaders, industry partners, researchers and students participated in various oral and poster presentations, lab tours (Monash University and University of Melbourne) during the workshop. The workshop was comprised of 14 talks, 16 posters, 3 lab tours, lunch, dinner, networking sessions and award ceremony.

Prof. Marc Parlange, Provost and Senior Vice-President of Monash University was invited as the Chief guest. He gave a captivating speech on graphene and its applications.

Dr Tanesh Gamot who is in the organizing committee and also a member of NSEL gave the Workshop opening note to welcome all participants. Prof. Mainak Majumder, Dr. Samuel T. Martin, Dr. Meysam S. Mirshekarloo and Dr. Mahdokht Shaibani gave oral presentations on their research projects. In addition, Sally El Meragawi, Imdadul Hassan, Gargi Mukhopadhyay, Manas Panda and Dr Tanesh Gamot, presented posters at the workshop.The poster of Gargi Mukhopadhyay received the best poster award, congratulations Gargi.

NSEL members took the workshop participants for a lab tour, demonstrating the preparation of graphene inks, printing, fabrication of membranes and supercapacitors, etc.
